Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati on Tuesday presented a special gift reflecting the state’s handicrafts and artefacts to President Droupadi Murmu at Lok Bhawan.
The presentation was made on the second day of the President’s three-day visit to Odisha, ahead of her scheduled visit to Berhampur. First Lady of the state Dr. Jayashree Kambhampati was also present on the occasion.
The gift included a National Handicrafts Award-winning Sambalpuri Bandha Saree, a traditional Pipili applique piece, and a statue of Lord Ganesha crafted in fine silver filigree from Cuttack.
Officials said the selected items represent the rich cultural heritage of Odisha and highlight the state’s craftsmanship, traditions, and artistic excellence.
