Bhubaneswar: Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Wednesday visited the flood-affected Kurudiha Gram Panchayat under Baleshwar Sadar block to assess the ground situation and review the ongoing relief measures for affected residents.
During the visit, Parida interacted with local people impacted by the floods to understand their immediate concerns, living conditions and essential needs. She assured them that the state government would extend all necessary support and ensure prompt assistance to the affected families.
The Deputy Chief Minister also convened an on-site review with local administrative officials to evaluate the relief operations. She directed the officials to expedite the distribution of essential relief materials, closely monitor health and safety conditions in the affected areas, and ensure that assistance reaches every household in the Gram Panchayat without delay.
The visit was aimed at taking stock of the flood situation firsthand and strengthening the delivery of relief and rehabilitation measures in the affected region, according to an official statement.
