Bhubaneswar: The Ravenshaw University, Kataka has effected a major reshuffle in its hostel administration with immediate effect, following the recent controversy involving Cuttack Sadar MLA Prakash Sethi.
As per the orders, Chief Warden Prof. Sudarshan Mishra has been changed. Prof. Purnendu Padhi has been appointed as the new Chief Warden.
The university has also ordered changes in the posts of Deputy Chief Wardens. Prof. Manoj Kumar Das and Prof. Rashmirekha Satapathy have been replaced. Prof. Dipti Rout and Dwiti Krushna Behera have been appointed as the new Deputy Chief Wardens.
Along with the top posts, a total of 26 Wardens and Deputy Wardens of various hostels have also been changed.
University authorities said the reshuffle has been carried out to strengthen hostel management and administration.
The decision comes days after an incident of controversy involving the Cuttack Sadar MLA, which had put the functioning of the hostel administration under scrutiny.
