Bhubaneswar: The Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar has issued a ‘Yellow’ weather warning, predicting light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at a few places over several districts of Odisha in the next 3 hours.
According to the weather bulletin, the affected districts include Jagatsingpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack including Cuttack city, Khorda including Bhubaneswar city, Puri, Jajpur, Anugul, Nuapada, Baragarh, Bhadrak, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore and Nayagarh.”
Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is very likely to occur at a few places over the above mentioned districts during next 3 hours,” the IMD said.
The Meteorological Centre has advised people to “keep a watch on the weather for worsening conditions and plan accordingly for their safety.
The alert was issued by the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar.
Residents have been urged to avoid venturing out during thunderstorms and to stay indoors for safety.
