Bhubaneswar: The Government of Odisha has approved 14 new industrial investment proposals worth Rs 2,780.10 crore, which are expected to create 14,104 employment opportunities across the state. The clearance was given at the 149th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Anu Garg.
The approvals, cleared under the vision of Samruddha Odisha 2036 and the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, cover a wide range of sectors including Food Processing, Agro and Food Processing, Textiles and Apparel, Chemicals and Chemical Products, Medical Devices, Pharma, Electronics System Design and Manufacturing, Steel, Iron and Ferro Alloys, Steel Downstream Manufacturing and Infrastructure.
The projects will be set up in 11 districts — Angul, Balangir, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Keonjhar, Khordha, Nayagarh, Nuapada and Sundargarh — aimed at expanding industrial growth beyond traditional hubs.
In the food processing sector, Haldiram Snacks Food Private Limited will establish a snacks and baked products manufacturing unit in Khordha and Cuttack with an investment of Rs 500 crore, generating 800 jobs. In agro and food processing, Tiwana Nutrition Global Private Limited will set up a cattle feed manufacturing unit with Rs 140 crore investment and 2,500 employment opportunities. Premium Chick Feeds Private Limited will also establish a chick feed manufacturing unit across Khordha, Cuttack and Nayagarh with Rs 105.38 crore investment and 1,054 jobs.
The textiles and apparel sector received major approvals as well. Sahana Clothing Company Private Limited will set up a readymade garment manufacturing unit for knitted baby and kids wear in Dhenkanal with an investment of Rs 251.45 crore, creating 5,104 jobs. Pratima Agro Spinning Mill Private Limited will establish a textile processing unit for cotton yarn and related products in Balangir with Rs 125 crore investment and 400 jobs.
Three proposals were cleared in chemicals and chemical products. Prasol Chemicals Limited will set up a phosphorous-based derivatives manufacturing plant in Ganjam with Rs 450 crore investment and 458 jobs. New Generation Manufacturing Private Limited will establish a coal tar distillation and byproducts plant in Sundargarh with Rs 80 crore investment and 301 jobs.
Haasvan Rasayan Private Limited will set up a bulk drug intermediates manufacturing facility in Nuapada with Rs 55 crore investment and 70 jobs.The state also cleared investments in medical devices and electronics. Sastasundar Healthbuddy Limited will establish a medical device manufacturing unit in Khordha with Rs 56 crore investment and 1,050 jobs. In the ESDM sector, Syrma SGS Technology Limited will set up a manufacturing facility for printed circuit board assemblies and box build in Khordha with Rs 300 crore investment, generating 500 jobs.
Mineral and metal-based industries continue to attract fresh investment. Mahatripurasundari Minerals and Metals Private Limited will establish an integrated complex for ferro alloys, chrome derivatives, metals recovery and chrome ore beneficiation in Keonjhar with Rs 160 crore investment and 1,460 jobs. In steel downstream, Shree Jagannath Ispat Private Limited will set up a facility in Cuttack for colour-coated sheets, corrugated GI sheets, plain GI sheets and GI structural components with Rs 90.94 crore investment and 230 jobs.
NKS Earthbuild Limited will establish a structural steel manufacturing facility in Dhenkanal with Rs 60.98 crore investment and 148 jobs.In infrastructure, Mahanadi Coalfields Limited will develop a private railway siding for Subhadra Coal Mines in Angul district, connecting it with the existing Angul-Balaram Siding and the proposed Gopalprasad Station under the Khurda Road Division of East Coast Railway. The project involves Rs 405.35 crore investment and will generate 29 jobs.
With a combined investment of Rs 2,780.10 crore and employment potential of 14,104, the latest approvals underline continued investor confidence in Odisha. The government said the Single Window Clearance System continues to provide coordinated and time-bound approvals, enabling faster implementation of projects and supporting industrial development, value addition and job creation across the state in line with Samruddha Odisha 2036.
