Anugola: Five workers sustained critical injuries after a powerful explosion occurred late on Friday night at the NTPC thermal power plant in Kaniha block of Anugola district.
According to reports, the blast took place in Bunker-B of the power generation unit. Five workers who were critical due to the mishap were admitted to the NTPC Medical facility.
As the condition of two of the injured workers became critical, they were shifted to Bhubaneswar for advanced treatment.
However, the exact cause of the explosion remains unclear at this stage. An investigation has been launched by the concerned authorities to ascertain the reason behind the blast.
