Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has accepted the resignation of Bhubaneswar DCP Jagmohan Meena and sent the No Objection Certificate to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The 2013-batch IPS officer had submitted his resignation from the All India Services citing personal reasons.Meena said he took the decision after discussions with his family and friends and requested that his privacy be respected.
He did not disclose his future plans.Sources said the officer had submitted his resignation papers around three months ago, but the matter came to light in July.
Meena had earlier served as SP of Malkangiri, Angul and Ganjam districts and as DCP of Cuttack before being posted as Bhubaneswar DCP.
Before joining the IPS, Meena completed his B.Tech and M.Tech in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Kanpur.
