Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday issued a Yellow Message for seven districts of Odisha, warning of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at one or two places during the next three hours.
According to the nowcast warning issued by the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, at 4:35 pm, the districts likely to be affected are Dhenkanal, Kataka, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Rayagada and Nayagada.
The weather office advised people in these areas to keep a close watch on changing weather conditions and plan their activities accordingly for safety.
The warning is valid for three hours from the time of issue.
