Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday issued a yellow nowcast warning for 12 districts of Odisha, forecasting light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at one or two places over the next three hours.
According to the warning issued by the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, at 4.10 pm, the affected districts are Kendujhar, Nabarangpur, Ganjam, Kalahandi, Balangir, Sundaragada, Debagada, Khordha, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Koraput and Nuapada.
The weather office advised people in the alerted areas to keep a watch on changing weather conditions and plan accordingly for their safety.
