Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government’s investment outreach campaign in the UAE entered its second day on Wednesday, with a packed schedule of high-level government meetings, investor interactions and industry-specific business discussions.
According to the official schedule shared by the state government, the second day of the Odisha Investors’ Meet in the UAE will focus on exploring investment opportunities and strengthening economic cooperation between Odisha and the UAE.
The day will begin with a high-level meeting with UAE’s Minister of Economy and Tourism, His Excellency Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, who is also a Cabinet Member and Chairman of the Council of International Investments. Discussions will centre around investment and economic cooperation. This will be followed by a series of one-on-one meetings with representatives of various industrial houses to discuss investment opportunities and potential industrial partnerships in Odisha.
A key highlight of the day will be a roundtable meeting with the aluminium downstream industry, where Odisha’s rich aluminium ecosystem and investment potential in the downstream sector will be showcased.
In this connection, the Odisha delegation will also visit the Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) facility to explore possibilities of collaboration in the aluminium and downstream industries.
Further, the delegation will hold a meeting with the Indian Business and Professional Council (IBPC) to discuss ways to further strengthen India-UAE business ties and pitch investment opportunities in Odisha.
An industrial roundtable with the Bureau of Middle East Recycling is also scheduled, which will focus on recycling, circular economy and sustainable industrial development.
The day will conclude with an interactive session with the Odisha business delegation to deliberate on business opportunities, market linkages and measures to further strengthen Odisha-UAE economic relations.
