Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati on Thursday planted a sapling at Atal Bana on the Lok Bhawan premises here to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign.
Kambhampati also conveyed his greetings to Modi and wished him good health, happiness and a long life. The Governor said the Prime Minister had completed 25 years in public life, first as Chief Minister of Gujarat and later as the Prime Minister of the country.
“Today is the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He has completed 25 years in public life as the Chief Minister of Gujarat and later as the Prime Minister of India. On this occasion, I extend my heartfelt greetings,” Kambhampati said.
Highlighting the significance of the plantation drive, the Governor described ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ as one of Modi’s initiatives and stressed the need for greater efforts towards environmental conservation and increasing green cover.
Kambhampati also referred to the development and public welfare measures undertaken during Modi’s public life, besides noting efforts aimed at strengthening India’s standing globally alongside the country’s development.
The Governor reiterated his wishes for the Prime Minister’s healthy and happy life on his birthday.
