Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident, a student of NISER reportedly died after falling from the roof of the Bhagirathi hostel.
The deceased has been identified as Vinay Sanyasi Venkat, a third-year Integrated MSc student. He was a resident of Nagpur in Maharashtra.
According to reports, Vinay slipped and fell from the hostel roof late last night. He was rushed to AIIMS Bhubaneswar in a critical condition, where doctors later declared him dead.
Upon being informed, Jatani police reached the spot, took possession of the body.
Meanwhile, the body has been sent for post-mortem and an investigation into the incident has been initiated.
