Bhubaneswar: Light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning and thunder is likely at one or two places in 12 districts of Odisha during the next three hours, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a nowcast warning issued on Monday morning.
The warning was issued at 7:05 am, with the weather office forecasting the possibility of thunderstorms and rain in Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Ganjam, Gajapati, Khordha, Kataka, Jajpur, Kendujhar and Baleshwar.
According to the IMD, the weather activity is expected to occur at one or two places in these districts during the three-hour period following the issuance of the warning.
The weather office has advised people in the affected areas to remain alert and keep a watch on changing weather conditions.
