Bhubaneswar: A high-level review meeting was held today under the chairpersonship of Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida at the WCD Conference Hall to review the preparedness for ‘Angan Utsav’, scheduled to be held across Odisha from September 27 to 29, 2026.
The meeting focused on ensuring effective coordination and comprehensive preparedness for the three-day celebration, aimed at highlighting the crucial role of Anganwadi Centres in strengthening early childhood care, nutrition, health and community participation.
Reviewing the preparations, Pravati Parida emphasised the need for active participation of all stakeholders and directed officials to ensure that the celebrations are organised in a meaningful, inclusive and people-centric manner. She stressed the importance of showcasing the transformation of Anganwadi Centres and highlighting the services being provided for the holistic development of children, mothers and families.
The Deputy Chief Minister also reviewed the proposed activities, arrangements and coordination mechanisms for the successful conduct of the Utsav across districts. She called upon officials to ensure effective implementation of the planned activities at the grassroots level and greater community engagement.
Secretary, Women & Child Development Department, Mrinalini Darswal, Director, WCD, Monisha Banerjee, along with senior officials and other officers of the Department, were present at the meeting.
