Bhubaneswar: The Khordha district administration has directed the closure of all government, government-aided, and private schools from September 22 to September 24, 2026, for three days.
The order covers institutions from kindergarten (Shishu Batika) to Class XII. All Anganwadi centres in the district will also remain closed during this period. District Collector Amrit Rituraj issued the directive keeping in view the possibility of heavy rainfall associated with a depression over the region. However, the previously scheduled NRTS examination scheduled for today will be conducted as planned. All teachers and staff of schools have been instructed to remain present at their respective institutions.
Schools authorities have also been asked to keep school buildings and related facilities ready. Headmasters and principals have been directed to implement a roster duty system so that school premises remain open 24 hours. Strict compliance with these instructions has been ordered with immediate effect.
