Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has identified 36 high-impact, development-oriented programmes as part of its Vision 2036 and Vision 2047 documents, aimed at accelerating the state’s overall growth and ensuring inclusive development across sectors, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi informed the assembly on Thursday.
The initiatives have been identified keeping in view two major milestones — Odisha completing 100 years of its formation in 2036 and India completing 100 years of independence in 2047.
In a written reply to a question by Baliguda MLA Chakramani Kanhar, Majhi said the state government, with the assistance of NITI Aayog, has prepared the Vision Documents for 2036 and 2047 by according priority to the overall development of Odisha.
The Vision Documents have identified 36 high-impact programmes aimed at addressing key development priorities and creating a roadmap for the state’s long-term growth.
The Chief Minister said the government is currently focusing on the development of several key sectors based on the objectives outlined in the Vision Documents. These include agriculture and allied activities, education, healthcare, transportation, irrigation, industries and infrastructure, urbanisation, social security and women’s empowerment.
The government is also giving emphasis to people-centric schemes and initiatives aimed at ensuring inclusive and comprehensive development of the state, he said.
