Bhubaneswar: The regional meteorological centre has issued a nowcast warning for nine districts of Odisha, including Khordha and Kataka predicting light to moderate rain, thunder and lightning along with gusty wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph in next three hours.
As per the warning issued at 10:20 am, the weather activities are very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Kendujhar, Sundaragada, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Debagada, Kataka (including Kataka City), Khordha (including Bhubaneswar City), Bhadrak and Jajpur during the next 3 hours, the warning stated.
People in these districts have been advised to keep a watch on the weather for worsening conditions and plan accordingly for their safety.
The administration has urged residents to stay indoors during thunderstorm activity and avoid taking shelter under trees.
