Bhubaneswar: Three minors who went missing from Bhubaneswar after leaving home for tuition were rescued from Jagatsinghpur district on Monday.
The three children, who had gone missing from the Chandrasekharpur police station area on Sunday, were traced to the Balikuda area of Jagatsinghpur district.
Two of the rescued minors are Class IX students, while the third is a Class VII student. All three are residents of the Sitanath and Adarsh Basti areas of Bhubaneswar.
According to reports, the children had gone for tuition on Sunday but did not return home. Their family members searched for them at various places and, after failing to trace them, approached the police and lodged a complaint.
Following the complaint, police launched an investigation and examined CCTV footage from different locations. With the help of CCTV footage and human intelligence, police traced the children to Jagatsinghpur district and rescued them.
Police are now investigating how the children reached Jagatsinghpur district and whether anyone accompanied them.
All three minors were found to be in good condition, reports said.
