Jayapur (Koraput): The bodies of a couple were found hanging inside a room at Shanti Lodge in Koraput town, raising suspicion of suicide.
The deceased have been identified as Bijay Dakua and Bijaylaxmi Dakua, reportedly residents of Sector-3 in Damanjodi of Koraput district.
According to reports, the husband and wife had arrived in Koraput on Monday morning for medical-related work and checked into Shanti Lodge. Later, their bodies were found hanging inside the lodge room.
While the incident is suspected to be a case of suicide, the exact reason behind their deaths remains unclear.
On being informed, police reached the spot and launched an investigation into the incident.
