Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance arrested Shishir Kumar Dash, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of Mathili Block, attached to DRDA, Malkangiri for possession of disproportionate assets.
According to a release by Odisha Vigilance, searches were conducted on properties linked to Dash following allegations of accumulating assets beyond his known sources of income. During the searches, he was found in possession of disproportionate assets which he could not account for satisfactorily. The assets unearthed include two multi-storeyed buildings with a total area of 9300 sqft, six high-value plots, bank deposits worth Rs 82 lakh, one four-wheeler and other movable and immovable properties.
In this connection, Berhampur Vigilance Police Station Case No. 11/2026 has been registered against Dash under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Further investigation into the case is continuing.
He will be forwarded today to the Court of Special Vigilance Judge of Berhampur.
