Bhubaneswar: Kodinga Revenue Inspector (RI) Biranchi Narayan Das has been suspended for remaining absent from duty during the flood situation.
Nabarangpur Collector Dr Maheswar Swain has taken the action against the RI.
According to reports, the RI was absent from duty even though the administration had cancelled all leaves in view of the flood situation. As per the office order issued on September 28, Das will remain under suspension till the completion of the inquiry into the disciplinary proceedings.
During the suspension period, his headquarters will be at the Revenue Section of the Nabarangapur Collectorate. He will be under the administrative control of the Additional District Magistrate, Revenue, and cannot leave the headquarters without prior permission, the order stated.
