Bhubaneswar: Dismissing rumours about postponement of the Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET), the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha has clarified that the OSSTET-2026 will be held tomorrow, September 30, as per the original schedule.
In an official video statement today, BSE President Srikanta Tarai said the Board has taken no decision to postpone the examination and urged candidates not to believe in misinformation being circulated on social media.
“The OSSTET-2026 will be conducted as per the pre-decided schedule tomorrow. No decision has been taken to postpone the exam. Candidates should not believe in rumours,” Tarai said.
He appealed to all aspirants to ignore fake news and focus on the examination.
The clarification came after reports claiming that the OSSTET had been postponed created confusion among thousands of aspirants across the state.
The Board said all arrangements and security measures at examination centres are in place for tomorrow’s exam.
