Bhubaneswar: Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida today visited Nandankanan Zoological Park, one of the major tourist attractions of the state, and reviewed various facilities for visitors.
During her visit, she took stock of the existing amenities and discussed development of necessary infrastructure to make the experience of tourists more convenient, safe and memorable.
The meeting held detailed discussions on improving drinking water facilities, restrooms, transportation and other basic amenities, while ensuring protection of the natural environment and wildlife of Nandankanan.
The Deputy CM directed officials to implement developmental measures at the earliest so that tourists coming from within the state and outside return with a pleasant experience.
Forest, Environment and Climate Change Minister Ganesh Ram Singh Khuntia, Tourism Department Commissioner-cum-Secretary Balwant Singh and other senior officers of Forest and Tourism departments were present during the review.
