Bhubaneswar: Train services in East Coast Railway’s Rayagada Division have been disrupted following a landslide between Maligura and Chhatariput stations.
To ensure passenger safety and to allow restoration work, ECoR has cancelled and short-terminated several trains, officials said on Friday.
Trains Cancelled:
- 18108 Jagdalpur–Rourkela Express will remain cancelled from October 4 to 8
- 18107 Rourkela–Jagdalpur Express will remain cancelled from October 3 to 7
- 18515 Visakhapatnam–Kirandul Express and 18516 Kirandul–Visakhapatnam Express will remain cancelled from October 4 to 7
Trains Short-Terminated / Short-Originated:
Train No. 18005 Howrah–Jagdalpur Express, which commenced its journey from Howrah on 2nd to 7th October , 2026, will be short-terminated at Koraput. The service between Koraput and Jagdalpur will remain cancelled.
Train No. 18006 Jagdalpur–Howrah Express, scheduled to commence its journey from Jagdalpur on 4th to 9th October, 2026, will be short-originated from Koraput. The service between Jagdalpur and Koraput will remain cancelled.
Train No. 18447 Bhubaneswar- Jagdalpur–Hirakhand Express, scheduled to commence its journey from Bhubaneswar on 3rd to 7th October, 2026, will be short-terminated at Koraput. The service between Koraput and Jagdalpur will remain cancelled.
Train No. 18448 Jagdalpur–Bhubaneswar Hirakhand Express, scheduled to commence its journey from Jagdalpur on 4th to 8th October, 2026, will be short-originated from Koraput. The service between Jagdalpur and Koraput will remain cancelled.
Train No. 58501 Visakhapatnam–Kirandul Express, scheduled to commence its journey from Visakhapatnam on 4th to 7th October, 2026, will be short-terminated at Koraput. The service between Koraput and Jagdalpur will remain cancelled.
Train No. 58502 Kirandul–Visakhapatnam Passenger Express, scheduled to commence its journey from Kirandul on 4th to 7th October, 2026, will be short-originated from Koraput. The service between Jagdalpur and Koraput will remain cancelled.
Restoration work is underway at the landslide site. Passengers have been advised to check the status of trains before starting their journey.
