Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance on Monday launched simultaneous searches at 10 locations linked to Arabinda Mohanty, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE)of R&B Sub-Division of Betnoti in Mayurbhanj district, over allegations of possessing disproportionate assets (DA) beyond his known sources of income.
The searches are being conducted on the strength of warrants issued by the Special Vigilance Judge, Baripada. The search operation is being led by 5 DSPs, 8 Inspectors and other supporting staff.
According to a release issued by the Odisha Vigilance, searches are underway at multiple properties spread across Mayurbhanj, Baleswar and Khordha districts.
Searches are being conducted at his triple-storeyed building at Angargadia, double-storeyed building at Balianta in Khordha, farmhouse at Basantapur, office and residence at Betnoti, paternal house at Rayan-Ramachandrapur in Jaleswar, another house at Bamapada, and at the houses of three close associates at Angargadia, Baisinga and Bamapada.
Raids are also being conducted at his office and official residence at Betnoti, his paternal house at Rayan-Ramachandrapur in Jaleswar, another house at Bamapada in Baleswar, and at the houses of three close associates at Angargadia, Baisinga and Bamapada.
The searches were continuing till the filing of this report. Further details are awaited.
