Koraput: Train services have been affected following a recent landslide that disrupted the railway track at Maliguda between Koraput and Jeypore, prompting the Railways to cancel and short-terminate several trains.
According to East Coast Railway, four trains have been fully cancelled. These include 18515 Visakhapatnam-Kirandul Express and 18516 Kirandul-Visakhapatnam Express, both from October 8 to October 12, and 18107 Rourkela-Jagdalpur Express from October 8 to 12 and 18108 Jagdalpur-Rourkela Express from October 9 to 13.
In addition, six trains will be short-terminated and short-originated at Koraput (KRPU). As a result, services between Koraput and Jagdalpur will remain cancelled for these trains.18005 Howrah-Jagdalpur Samaleswari Express running from October 8 to 12 will be short-terminated at Koraput, while 18006 Jagdalpur-Howrah Samaleswari Express from October 10 to 14 will short-originate from Koraput.
Similarly, 18447 Bhubaneswar-Jagdalpur Hirakhand Express (October 8 to 12) will terminate at Koraput and 18448 Jagdalpur-Bhubaneswar Hirakhand Express (October 9 to 13) will originate from Koraput.
The passenger trains 58501 Visakhapatnam-Kirandul Passenger and 58502 Kirandul-Visakhapatnam Passenger, both scheduled from October 8 to 12, will also be short-terminated and short-originated at Koraput respectively.
