Bhubaneswar: Commerce and Transport Department of Odisha is set to launch a new WhatsApp chatbot named ‘Ama Rasta’ very soon to enable quick reporting of road accidents.
As per the notification issued by the State Transport Authority (STA), citizens will be able to provide instant information about road accidents through the WhatsApp chatbot by messaging on the number 72899 11033.
As soon as an accident is reported, automated notifications will be sent to the nearest RTO, Police, Master Trainer, Rescuer and Junior Rescuer. This will enable the concerned authorities to receive timely information and rush to the spot to provide immediate assistance.
The initiative aims to improve emergency response and enhance road safety across the state.
