Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi felicitated Mohan Mohapatra, popularly known as Silver Gandhi and brand ambassador of Swachh Bharat Mission, in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday.
The Chief Minister felicitated him for his frequent padayatra to promote and propagate the life and philosophy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi across the country. The felicitation programme was held at the State BJP Headquarters in Bhubaneswar on the occasion of an exhibition titled ‘Viksit Bharat @2047’ organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party to commemorate 25 years of public service of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The exhibition showcased 25 years of uninterrupted public service, visionary leadership and successful chapters of nation building under PM Modi. Present on the occasion were BJP State Co-in-charge Dr. Swadesh Singh, Khordha MLA Prashant Jagdev and members of the Swachh Bharat Group of Silver Gandhi.‘Viksit Bharat @2047’ is not just a campaign, it is a strong commitment to realise dreams, fulfil visions and ensure collective efforts of 140 crore Indians, organizers said.
The golden history that the Prime Minister has written through service, good governance and assistance to the poor has created a new identity for India on the global stage, they added.
Silver Gandhi said the main objective of his nationwide walk was to popularise Prime Minister Modi’s calls like Swachh Bharat, Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam and Har Ghar Tiranga. Dedicating his entire walk to PM Modi, he has declared himself as the Prime Minister’s biggest supporter.
Heartily congratulating PM Modi on completing 25 years of dedicated service to the nation, first as Chief Minister of Gujarat and then as Prime Minister of India, Silver Gandhi said, “The entire nation is grateful to Prime Minister Modi for his selfless service, visionary leadership, relentless efforts for nation building and unwavering determination to enhance India’s global stature.”
