Bhubaneswar: Chief Secretary Anu Garg on Friday chaired a review meeting regarding preparations for the Physical Test and Physical Efficiency Test under the Combined Recruitment Examination for the posts of Forester, Forest Guard and Excise Constable-2025 (Second).
Secretaries of various departments and the Chairman of Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) attended the meeting, while District Magistrates of all districts joined via video conferencing. OSSSC presented details regarding the recruitment process.
The physical tests will begin across all districts of the state from October 12, with a total of 4,683 eligible candidates scheduled to appear.
The Chief Secretary emphasized making the examination process transparent, impartial, orderly and safe. She directed officials to ensure adequate facilities including drinking water, food, toilets, security and medical facilities at examination centres. She also directed that the physical examination of each candidate be properly recorded and videographed.
Medical teams and ambulances with Basic and Advanced Life Support (ALS) facilities are to be deployed, with highest priority given to health safety of candidates.
District Collectors have been asked to regularly review preparations in their respective districts and ensure all prescribed rules are followed in conducting the examination.
