Bhubaneswar: Bhadrak Women’s College has been declared closed for an indefinite period following tension and agitation among different groups of students over the cancellation of the students’ union election.
According to a notification issued by the office of the Principal, after the cancellation of the students’ union election on October 8, the peaceful academic atmosphere in the college campus has been vitiated due to agitation by various student groups. In view of this, the authorities have decided to keep the college closed from October 10 until further orders.
During this period, all administrative work, except teaching, classwork and essential services, will remain suspended. Students have been advised to maintain peace and to check the college’s official WhatsApp group and notice board for information regarding reopening. The closure will remain in force until further orders are issued, the notification stated.
