Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday issued a yellow warning for 14 districts of Odisha, forecasting light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at isolated places over the next three hours.
According to the IMD’s nowcast warning issued at 12.20 pm, the districts likely to experience such weather conditions are Puri, Khordha, Kataka, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Bhadrak, Baleshwar, Mayurbhanj, Kendujhar, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Nayagada and Anugola.
The warning also covers Kataka city, the weather agency said.
The IMD advised people to keep a close watch on weather conditions and plan their activities accordingly to ensure their safety in view of the possibility of rain, thunder and lightning.
