Bhubaneswar: The oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected office bearers of the Student Union for 2026-27 at Kendrapara Autonomous College has been postponed till further orders.
College Principal Chittaranjan Das announced the postponement on Friday. In a notification issued by the Principal’s office, the college cited prevailing unavoidable circumstances for the decision. The ceremony was scheduled to be held today.
“Keeping in view of prevailing unavoidable circumstances, the Oath taking ceremony of newly elected Office bearers of Students’ Union 2026-27, which was scheduled to be held on 16th October 2026, is hereby postponed till further order”, read the notification issued by the Principal’s office.
The move comes after allegations of irregularities in the vote counting process. Following the allegations, ABVP members staged a dharna in the college premises demanding a review.
College authorities said the new date for the oath-taking ceremony will be announced later.
