Puri: An in-charge headmaster of a government school in Puri district has been suspended after his arrest for allegedly duping a youth of lakhs of rupees by promising him a job at an Adarsh Vidyalaya, officials said.
Amareshwar Kandi, in-charge headmaster of Chandaneswar Nodal Upper Primary School under Kanas block, was suspended by Block Education Officer Ramachandra Behera with effect from October 13, the date of his arrest.
According to reports, Kandi allegedly collected lakhs of rupees from a youth from Khordha district through PhonePe and bank transfers after promising him a job at an Adarsh Vidyalaya. He also allegedly handed over an appointment letter to the youth.
