Bhubaneswar: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Odisha on Sunday, Padma Shri awardee sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has created an eight-foot sand sculpture at Puri Beach.
The sculpture combines Odisha’s cultural heritage with India’s digital progress, marking the inauguration of the RBI’s Data Centre and Cybersecurity Training Institute in Bhubaneswar.
It features the Konark Wheel alongside a recreation of the RBI Data Centre, symbolising the fusion of tradition and technology.
Patnaik said setting up of the RBI Data Centre in Odisha is a matter of pride for the state, and his sand art was an attempt to welcome the Prime Minister while showcasing both cultural identity and digital advancement.
