Bhubaneswar: All educational institutions and Anganwadi centres in Odisha’s Kalahandi district will remain closed on Wednesday, October 28, in view of the forecast of heavy rainfall ahead of Cyclone ‘Arnab’, according to an official order.
The order was issued by the Office of the Collector and District Magistrate, Kalahandi, on October 26 as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students.
The closure will apply to all government, government-aided and private educational institutions, including elementary, secondary and higher secondary schools, Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas (OAVs), Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs), Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) and all Anganwadi centres in the district.
The district administration has directed the heads of all institutions to ensure strict compliance with the order.
