Kataka: The Kataka Municipal Corporation (KMC) on Friday seized around 1.5 quintals of prohibited single-use plastic during an enforcement drive conducted at various locations across the city.

The drive was aimed at checking the use and sale of banned single-use plastic products in commercial establishments and shops.

In a post on X, the civic body said it remained committed to eliminating the use of prohibited plastic and urged traders and residents to switch to eco-friendly alternatives.

KMC also appealed to citizens to cooperate with the initiative and help make Kataka cleaner, greener and more sustainable.
