Bhubaneswar: A team of forest officials from Similipal wildlife Division on Friday detained a person and seized a leopard skin from his possession.
The accused identified as Bhuban Singh is a resident of Jadunathpur (Bandhasahi) under Badasahi police station in Mayurbhanj district.
Based on the intelligence inputs, a team headed by Deputy Director Similipal South Wildlife Division carried out raids at his village and seized the leopard skin.
Further investigation is underway, said Samrat Gowda, Deputy director of Similipal South Wildlife Division.
