Reamal Block Veterinary Officer Caught Taking Bribe From Poultry Farmer

Bhubaneswar: A Block Veterinary Officer (BVO) of Reamal in Deogarh district has been apprehended by vigilance for accepting bribe from a poultry farmer.

BVO Dr. Susmita Sethi was caught by the anti-corruption officials while receiving of Rs.5,000 from a poultry farmer to submit asset verification report in his favour for releasing a pending subsidy bill towards the construction of a village poultry farm.

The vigilance sleuths recovered the entire bribe money from Dr. Sethi and seized.

Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of the accused BVO from DA angle.

In this connection, Rourkela Vigilance registered a case under section 7 in P.C (Amendment) Act, 2018. The investigation is in progress against accused Dr. Sethi, said vigilance officials.
