Bhubaneswar: Twitter experienced downtime on Thursday morning with thousands of users experiencing issues while using the microblogging site which was recently taken over by the world’s richest man Elon Musk.
According to the outage tracking website Downdetector.com. Over 10,000 users reported issues with accessing the social media website in the United States as of 7:40 pm ET. There are around 24.8 million active Twitter users India, of which a majority complained of similar issues today, reports stated.
Twitter users were welcomed with error messages as the micro-blogging platform was down for thousands of users on Thursday morning. Some users also complained that their Twitter notifications were not working.
Twitter users were automatically logged out and were then greeted by an error message ‘Something went wrong, but don’t fret — it’s not your fault. Let’s try again.’. This is the third time that Twitter was down since its takeover by Elon Musk in late October.
Several users, who could access their profiles, took to the microblogging site to report the issue. Many expressed their angst over Musk firing employees which followed the high-profile takeover of Twitter Inc’s $44 billion.
