New Delhi: Actor Abhishek Bachchan and megastar Amitabh Bachchan presented a “drunken act” on the set of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 15’, leaving everyone in splits.
In the special episode, the star cast of ‘Ghoomer’- Abhishek Bachchan, Saiyami Kher and filmmaker R Balki, were present on the set of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 15’ (KBC).
Before the ‘Super Sandook’ section began, R Balki said, “Abhishek is playing a drunk coach in Ghoomer.” The filmmaker says to Big B “you are an icon ‘Sharaabi’”, referring to his character in the movie 1984 movie ‘Sharaabi’, in which Amitabh played the character of Vicky Kapoor. Balki requested that the father-son duo recreate one drunk scene.
The crowd cheered and shouted ‘AB’. Abhishek said, “dekhiye OG to yeh hain”, pointing to Amitabh. He says there are so many scenes where he has played the drunk character like in movies ‘Satte Pe Satta’, ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’. But my favourite is from the film ‘Hum’.
Junior Bachchan imitates the dialogue of Big B, and said, “Ae Gonsalves in this world two type cockroach-one gutter cockroach, one society cockroach. Gutter cockroach biting man falling sick. This society cockroach biting, full society falling sick.”
Abhishek said in childhood we used to feel that we can create these scenes in the style of ‘Bachchan’. He then requests Big B to recreate the scene live. Big B says “this is not fair”, to which Abhishek says “Pop come on”. Balki requested Big B to perform anything in drunken style.
Amitabh then explains the rules of ‘Super Sandook’ in the drunken style. Amitabh says: “tere ko kitni baar bola hai daaru nahi peene ka. Lekin tu sunta hi kidarich hai. Ab bol dia Balki ne. Ye super sandook ka niyam tere ko sunane ka hai. Ye heere jawarat hain par ye real nahi hain. Ye sab nakli hain.” Big B perfectly explains the rules of ‘Super Sandook’ in an alcoholic manner.
He turned his face towards the audience, and then turn back to the ‘Ghoomer’ team, leaving everyone in splits.
He also talks to a woman sitting in the audience in the same manner, “madam hamko bolne do na, aap beech me mat bolo.” The woman gave a flying kiss to Big B. After Big B’s portrayal of the drunken act, Balki gives a tight hug to him.
Amitabh says to Balki “hamara aapne parade nikaal diya hai”.
Abhishek then played the ‘Super Sandook’, and answered seven questions correctly, winning Rs 70,000. He opted for the revival of the lifeline.
In ‘Ghoomer’, Sayami is playing a paraplegic sportsperson. Written and directed by R Balki, the flick stars Abhishek Bachchan in the lead, along with Shabana Azmi, and Angad Bedi in the pivotal roles.
The story revolves around Anina (Saiyami), a young woman batting prodigy, who loses her right hand in an unfortunate accident on the eve of her international cricketing debut. An unsympathetic, failed and frustrated cricketer enters her life, gives her a new dream and transforms her fate by the most innovative training, to make her play for the Indian cricket team again, as a bowler. ‘Ghoomer’ is the new style of bowling they invent to bamboozle the opposition.
It is inspired by the incredible achievement of Karoly Takacs, the achievements of special athletes, and who have achieved more than when they were called “normal”.
The film has been released in cinemas.
