Guwahati: At least 14 people were killed, while 27 others were critically injured after a bus they were travelling by collided with a truck in Assam’s Dergaon around 5.00 am on Wednesday.
Police said the accident took place when a bus carrying a picnic party comprising 45 members to the Tilinga Mandir in Tinsukia collided with a truck in Dergaon.
The picnic party embarked on their journey around 3.00 am and a coal-laden truck coming from Margherita collided with the bus head-on as they were about to reach their destination.
