Bhubaneswar: About 250 women in same colour saree participated in a Kalash Yatra at R. Belagam village in Kaviti Mandal of Srikakulam of Andhra Pradesh to worship Lord Shiva on Monday.
The festival is organised in every five year on Kartika month of Telugu Calendar in the village.
More than 250 women devotees wearing golden yellow saree took out the religious procession with pots on their heads (Kalash Yatra) with water from Bahuda river for Abhishekam and worship of Lord Shiva of Kashi Vishwanath Temple, situated in the village.
The festival continued entire day, from 3.30 am to midnight of Monday, 22nd November.
The entire village participated during the Abhishekam. It was followed by Uregimpu program (Visit of Lord Shiva in the village) that continued upto midnight.
