Bhubaneswar: All Centrally Protected Monuments/Sites and Museums under the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), that had remained closed since April 2021 in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic will be opened on June 16.
Informing this on Monday, Director (Monuments) NK Pathak stated that the opening, however, shall be in strict compliance with the executive orders, if any, by State/District Disaster Management Authority.
Appropriate guidelines and SOPs issued by Ministries or Departments of Union Government, States or Union Territories in this regard shall be scrupulously followed while regulating the flow of visitors, he added.
It is worthwhile to mention that as per the office order dated 15.04.2021, all the Centrally Protected Monuments/Sites and Museums under the ASI had been closed till May 15.
However, on 12.05.2021, the ASI extended the date till 31.05.2021. It released another order on 30.05.2021, extending the date till 15.06.2021.
