Beggar Woman’s Life Savings Of Rs 6.61 Lakh Donated To Pulwama Martyrs

**Rajasthan:** Nandini Sharma, an elderly beggar, is smiling from the heavens. After passing away in August 2018, her entire life savings of Rs 6.61 lakh was donated for the kin of Pulwama martyrs. She might have been a beggar during her lifetime but after her death she has become the reason of a million smiles. Here is her story:

Weak and fragile Nandini used to beg for a living every day at the Ambe Mata Temple at Bajrangarh in Ajmer. She saved up all her money and deposited it in a bank account. Before dying, she entrusted her savings with some trustees and asked them to put the money in service of nation. One of her trustees Sandeep Gaur said to Times of India, “Despite the fact that her savings came from begging, she wanted it to be of some use to the country and hence, we considered it to be used for the kin of the CRPF jawans killed in the Pulwama attack on February 14.”

Ajmer Collector Vishwa Mohan Sharma informed that her trustees came to the district administration office after the dastardly attack on CRPF jawans and donated the money to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for the kin of deceased persons. After the legal cell completed all the formalities, the amount was accepted and a certificate was issued to them.

Nandini was respected by the all temple devotees, who used to donate alms, food and clothing to her. Her noble, kind and heart-warming gesture, even in death, has restored the country’s faith in humanity.
