Patna: Chaos broke out on the fifth day of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s ambitious ‘Samriddhi Yatra’ (Prosperity Journey) in Chhapra, Saran district, after a dispute erupted between NDA supporters and security personnel over entry into the event venue.

Amid the commotion, serious allegations of misbehaviour with a female BJP MLA surfaced, triggering political outrage.

The incident occurred on January 21, ahead of the arrival of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary.

A large crowd had gathered at the venue, and the alleged lack of coordination between security personnel and party workers at the entrance gates led to heightened tension.

The situation escalated when an altercation broke out involving Chhapra BJP MLA Chhoti Kumari.

What began as a heated argument between security personnel and BJP workers soon turned into a major disturbance.

The situation was eventually brought under control following the intervention of senior leaders present at the site.

BJP District General Secretary Vivek Kumar Singh levelled serious allegations against the security officials, accusing them of misbehaving with female party workers and the MLA.

He claimed that the conduct of some security personnel, reportedly deployed from Patna, was against the spirit of women’s empowerment.

According to Singh, while attempting to enter the venue, security officials allegedly pushed MLA Chhoti Kumari and used abusive language.

He further alleged that women party workers who had come to welcome the Chief Minister were also mistreated during the scuffle.

Condemning the incident, BJP leaders termed it an insult to the dignity of elected representatives and party workers.

Vivek Kumar Singh announced that a formal complaint detailing the incident would be submitted to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, demanding appropriate action against those responsible.

As of now, there has been no official response from the district administration or security agencies regarding the allegations.
