Dates For Assembly Elections In 5 States Announced, Results On Dec 11

**New Delhi: ** The Election Commission (EC) of India today announced the dates for the assembly elections in five states of Madhya Pradesh (MP), Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Mizoram.

Announcing the dates, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) O.P. Rawat informed media today afternoon:

Two phase Assembly polls in Chhattisgarh on November 12 and 20 while Rajasthan and Telangana to vote on December 7.

Voting in MP, Mizoram is to be held on November 28.

The model code of conduct has been enforced from today itself with immediate effect.

The results of all the five states will be declared on December 11.

Model code of conduct applies with immediate effect for all states going to polls, including Telangana, where there is a caretaker government.

Chhattisgarh assembly term expiring on Jan 5, 2019

Madhya Pradesh assembly term expiring on Jan 7, 2019

Rajasthan assembly tenure is coming to an end on Jan 20, 2019

Mizoram assembly term coming to an end on December 15, 2018
