Mumbai: Bollywood superstars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh reached the crematorium at Vile Parle in Mumbai on the afternoon of November 24 to bid a final goodbye to Bollywood superstar Dharmendra.

The actors were seen seated in their car, which made its way inside the crematorium amidst heavy police deployment. For the uninitiated, Ranveer had starred with the late superstar in the 2024 superhit movie Rocky Aur Rani, where he essayed the role of Dharmendra’s grandson. The two were shown sharing a beautiful and warm bond in the movie.

Veteran Bollywood actress Shabana Azmi had reached the crematorium to pay her last respects to the late superstar. The actress had worked with him in the 2024 release Rocky Aur Rani, where they essayed the roles of onscreen lovers. The two even had a kissing scene in the movie that had taken the internet by storm back then.

Recently, megastar Amitabh Bachchan, actor Abhishek Bachchan, and superstars Aamir Khan and Salman Khan had reached the Pawan Hans crematorium to pay their last respects to actor Dharmendra. Dharmendra’s wife and superstar Hema Malini and daughter, Esha Deol, who seemed grief-stricken, were seen rushing to the crematorium.

For the uninitiated, Dharmendra passed away on Monday, on November 24, at the age of 89. The actor, in mid-November, who was earlier admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai, was discharged after he showed recovery. The superstar, back then, was reportedly put on a ventilator, as he was suffering from breathing difficulties.

Talking about Dharmendra, the superstar was one of Bollywood’s most charming and beloved stars. Born in 1935 in Punjab, Dharmendra Singh Deol began his career in the early 1960s, after he was discovered through a talent hunt competition.

Dharmendra was a recipient of Padma Bhushan, the third-highest civilian award of India.
