Bhubaneswar/Raipur: The rescue operations to save the 11-year-old Rahul Sahu who fell into an 80-feet deep abandoned borewell at Pihrid village in Chhattisgarh’s Janjgir-Champa district on Friday are still underway even after 80 hours.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel is continuously monitoring the situation and the district administration is hopeful that they will be able to rescue Rahul. The time for taking out Rahul Sahu has increased due to the presence of a rock during drilling.
Rahul fell into the abandoned borewell located in the backyard of his house around 2 pm on Friday. Teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and state disaster response force (SDRF) are on the spot to extricate the child.
