New Delhi: A fire gutted a warehouse, where marriage decorations were stored, in west Delhi on Monday, a Fire Department official said. No casualties or injuries were reported from the incident.
The official said that they received a call about the fire incident at Yadav Enclave, Vikas Nagar, Verma road at 3.55 p.m. after which as many as 10 fire tenders were immediately pressed into service.
“The warehouse spanning around 300 square yards had decorative items like colour spray cans among several other things,” the official told IANS.
The Fire Department had earlier identified the place as a toy factory.
Delhi Police also received the information about the incident almost at the same time after which the staff of Ranhola police station reached at the spot.
“As per owner Pratik Khurana, the cause of fire was short circuit in electric scooter charger,” Deputy Commissioner of Police, Outer, Sameer Sharma said.
He sad that the fire is yet to be completely extinguished.
