Bhubaneswar: Four hard-core Maoists were sentenced to life imprisonment by a special NIA court in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar district.
As per the national media reports, the rebels, Mahadev Nag, Kawasi Joga, Mani Ram Madiya and Dayaram Baghel, were involved in the killing of 15 security personnel and a civilian in a village in Chhattisgarh in 2014. Fifteen security personnel included 11 CRPF and four state police.
They were convicted under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, Explosives Act, and the Arms Act, national media reported.
The case was probed by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
